Staying Ahead of Your Competition is Critical…
The world seems to be moving faster than ever with the growth of the internet and other new technologies. Maybe I am just getting old, but staying ahead of trends, technology and what is required to run a business is never ending.
Many people have asked me why M2 Digital Media Group spends so much time and money to train with some of the best and the brightest individuals in the marketing industry. It is very simple – in order to support our client’s needs we must understand what is new, what is working and what isn’t.
Here are three of my reasons to stay current:
- Understanding what is happening in any industry, (the internet or any others I can think of) is important to make sound business decisions. It will help you stay ahead of new opportunities as well as identify products you may want or need to retire or to fulfill your business exit strategy.
- Staying up-to-date helps position you as an expert. You are educated and fluent in your business. Being seen in your market as an authority is invaluable.
- I will tell you learning helps keep you young. Learning not only keeps your brain active; it also works to make sure you communicate what you are learning with others.
Henry Ford was one of the greatest business people of the twentieth century. Do you want to hear what Ford said about learning and age? Here goes: “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.”
Why am I telling you this?
Many our industry peers recently returned from ICON in Phoenix which is the annual Infusionsoft conference. Every year one (or more) of our colleagues will attend this event to make sure we stay current on how to best use Infusionsoft which is one of our primary internal tools. If you don’t know Infusionsoft, it is the software M2 uses to automate much of our marketing processes.
In a couple weeks, someone from our inner-circle will be heading out east to visit with other industry leaders for an exclusive mastermind group to discuss current trends and nuances related to marketing integration.
In summary, if you don’t know where to start with your own marketing, I encourage you either reach out to a trusted marketing agency who has your best interest or invest you own valuable time to start coming up with ideas which can help you grow.
Either way… Do something while it is fresh on your mind.
After all, Monday is already May 1st and before you know it, we will be flipping the calendar to 2017.
